Recipe Bangus / Tofu Sisig Spring Roll

If you’re looking for an easy-to-cook and a nutritious recipe, this might just be the answer. This recipe created by Chef Pablo “Boy” Logro puts a twist to the typical spring roll by adding the ingredients of bangus or tofu sisig, depending on your preference.

To conduct this recipe, you will be needing:
2 Small Block of Tofu
3 tablespoon of Mayonnaise
1/4 cup of chopped Onion Chives
1 Siling Haba (minced)
8 cups of Baguio Pure Vegetable Oil
1 Medium Boneless Bangus
1 Medium White Onion (minced)
8 tablespoon of Calamansi Juice
1 tablespoon of Liver Spread
Lumpia Wrapper
Salt and Pepper to taste dip
1/2 cup of Mayonnaise, Lemon, Cilantro (Wansoy)

This recipe is very easy to do. With these easy steps, you’ll be able to create your own spring roll dish.

1. Mix the pre-cooked ingredients such as bangus flakes, chopped tofu, white onions, mayonnaise, liver spread, onion chives, siling haba, calamansi juice, salt and pepper. Mix all of these ingredients well until it is evenly spread out.

2. Using a tablespoon, put a small amount of filling into the lumpia wrapper. Roll the wrapper, ensuring that both ends are tucked in. Afterwards, seal the roll by putting some moisture on both ends using a small amount of water.

3. Proceed to heating the Baguio Pure Vegetable Oil up to 340F in a deep-fryer equipment or in a pot.

4. Slowly drop the lumpia rolls in the oil and deep-fry it until the texture and color turns golden brown.

5. Get the deep-fried rolls and using a colander or paper towel, strain the excess oil before transferring to a serving plate.

In order to perfect the dip for your lumpia rolls, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped cilantro in a small bowl. Mix all of these ingredients well, then transfer in a small ramekin to go with the bangus or tofu sisig spring roll.
